Mission

Draft Mission Statement:


The Greater Eatonville Chamber of Commerce facilitates a thriving, healthy economy. We recognize that stewarding the environment is essential to protecting the economy. The Chamber strives to serve businesses with information and education, umbrella services and leadership. The Chamber encourages broad participation among the community, local organizations, the Town of Eatonville, and other government agencies. The Chamber actively participates in the projects and and activities to communicate and further its objectives.

Brainstorming Items:


  • Improve the climate for businesses to thrive.

  • Facilitate a harmonious business community.

  • Support the creation of businesses.

  • Market & promote the town.

  • Primary role is the economy.

  • Secondary role is environment and community.

  • Protecting the environment is protecting the economy.

  • Be a link in a chain of resources (sustainment services).

  • Educate and inform (communicate).

  • Provide umbrella services (e.g. group insurance, local ownership holding company,

    local credit cards, etc.)

  • Help define roles & responsibilities.

  • Maintain momentum.

  • Provide technical assistance (e.g. apply for grants).

  • Create broader leadership (participate and get others to participate).

  • Screen unwanted businesses.

  • Maintain contact with elected officials; present a united front.

  • Have a role in downtown revitalization.

  • Engage & assist in community projects.

  • Participate in the process.
